The drama serial “Ek Chuban Si” is a new show coming to Hum TV, airing every Monday starting from May 13, 2024. The leading roles in this drama are played by Sami Khan and Sonia Hussain. The cast also includes Hira Khan, Asma Abbas, and Fahad Shaikh.
The story of this drama revolves around three families. The first family consists of Sami Khan and Sonia Hussain, where Sami Khan’s character is named Haroon, and Sonia Hussain’s character is named Naiyala. The second family includes Javaid Sheikh and Hira Khan, with Hira Khan’s character named Maheen. The third family is that of Fahad Shaikh, which also includes his mother, Asma Abbas, and his two sisters.
Haroon and Naiyala are deeply in love and a happily married couple. They spend a lot of time together. Naiyala lost her parents during her childhood, and her uncle took care of her, providing her education and eventually getting her married to Haroon. Naiyala loves her uncle deeply.
Naiyala’s cousin, Maheen, lives with her father, who is Naiyala’s uncle. Maheen is a very jealous type of person with no interest in any work; she just wants to have a lot of money to enjoy. She is also very jealous of Naiyala because she believes that she deserved Haroon. Maheen thinks if her father had arranged her marriage with Haroon instead of Naiyala’s, she would be the one living a luxurious life now.
On the other hand, Maheen’s cousin, Fahad, loves her deeply. Although Fahad is her aunt’s son, he is poor and jobless, which makes Maheen uninterested in him. Fahad and his mother wish for Maheen to become Fahad’s bride.
Maheen often invites Haroon and Naiyala to her house under various pretenses so that she can talk to Haroon. However, Haroon does not like Maheen at all and always refuses to go to her house whenever Naiyala suggests it. Naiyala insists, saying that her uncle, who raised her like a parent, also lives there and that the house is not just Maheen’s. Haroon, out of love for Naiyala, eventually agrees.
During this time, Maheen’s father passes away, leaving her alone. Naiyala expresses her desire to bring Maheen into their home, but Haroon is against it. However, Naiyala insists, stating that Maheen has no place else to go, as her aunt’s condition is not good enough for Maheen to live with her. Out of love for Naiyala, Haroon agrees, and Maheen starts living with them.
Maheen, with her cunning ways, pretends to fall in love with Haroon and deliberately tries to get close to him. She tells him she gets bored at home and asks him to get her a job at his office. Haroon arranges a job for her in his office, which leads to trouble between Haroon and Naiyala. Distance grows between Haroon and Naiyala as Maheen falsely accuses Naiyala of liking someone else, causing Haroon to lose his love for Naiyala.
Maheen destroys a family that was deeply in love. In the end, Haroon realizes his mistake and understands how much damage he caused by believing Maheen’s lies. He seeks forgiveness from Naiyala, but by then, Naiyala’s love for Haroon has faded.
