Dr. Fazeela Abbasi is currently facing legal trouble after being implicated in an alleged money laundering case. She had previously been nominated in the case, but recent developments indicate that a Sessions Court in Islamabad has revoked her interim bail.
According to the FIR, a substantial amount—reportedly around 25 अरब rupees—was allegedly funneled through 22 bank accounts linked to her. The funds were further claimed to have been transferred to international destinations, including Dubai and the United States.
Earlier, the Islamabad High Court had dismissed one of the cases against Dr. Fazeela Abbasi. However, the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) challenged that decision, and its plea has now been accepted, leading to the reinstatement of the case. In addition, a second case against her has also been revived.
So far, the FIA has not presented any conclusive findings regarding the source of the funds reportedly held in her bank accounts.
