million followers on Instagram. She was recently praised for her performance in Meri Zindagi Hai Tu, which became one of her successful dramas.
Hania is also very active on social media, especially Instagram, where she connects with her fans. However, she recently took a break from the platform due to increasing negativity and toxic comments online, especially targeting women.
Hania Aamir recently opened up about why she felt upset with social media and decided to stay away from it for some time. She shared that constant negativity, criticism, and toxic comments online affected her peace of mind.
The actress explained that social media can become overwhelming, especially when people target public figures without understanding their personal struggles. Because of this, she chose to take a break to focus on her mental well-being and stay away from unnecessary stress.
Hania Aamir recently shared her thoughts in a candid “bathroom rant,” where she spoke about the controversies surrounding her and how it affected her mentally.
She said, “I am no stranger to controversy, and with everything that was happening around me, I became very exhausted. I decided to take some time off because at that point, I didn’t even know what was going on. For weeks, I kept thinking—what am I doing wrong? Do I need to change myself or do things differently?”
She further added that she realized people often have a problem with happy and successful women. According to her, negativity sometimes also comes from within the industry, and both men and women can be involved in pulling others down. She believes people expect women to fit into a certain image, and when they don’t, they face criticism.
She further added, “The real problem is when we start thinking, ‘What will people say?’ This is an old mindset. We often say we don’t care about people’s opinions, but now it has simply moved from relatives and family to Instagram.
We are still comparing women and labeling them as dark-skinned, fair-skinned, fat, or thin. This kind of hate is not good for women. I also want to request women that this doesn’t make sense anymore—we are just blaming each other without reason.
I have recently seen women being bullied just for existing, even when they are not doing anything. We need to stop gaslighting and bullying people. Let everyone be who they are. Not everyone has to be the same.”
