Navin Waqar is a renowned Pakistani television actress who earned timeless fame with her iconic role as Sara in the hit TV serial Humsafar. She has showcased her versatile acting skills in several popular Pakistani drama serials, including Saya-e-Deewar Bhi Nahi, Paristan, and 101 Talaqain, earning admiration from drama fans in Pakistan.

Currently, Navin Waqar is receiving widespread praise for her performance in the Pakistani drama series Case No. 9, which is rapidly gaining popularity among TV viewers and drama enthusiasts across Pakistan.

Navin Waqar recently appeared on Fuchsia Magazine’s YouTube show, where she shared insights about portraying the character Manish in the Pakistani drama Case No. 9.

Speaking about her role, Navin Waqar said, “These two characters were added to the story because we have Hindu friends who were never represented. Inclusivity matters, and it’s important to show that they are part of our society. The blasphemy issue depicted in the drama does happen here. We have different communities, and they should be featured. Initially, I faced objections about taking on this role.”

Discussing her portrayal of Manisha, Navin Waqar said, “It’s not a stereotypical representation of a couple always wearing sindoor and sarees, because the people I know follow these traditions mainly during festivals or at home. I adapted what I observed in Pakistan, and I made sure to approach the role responsibly. I had to be careful, as I didn’t want to offend anyone. Thankfully, I am receiving a positive response from the Hindu community.”

About Manisha, Navin Waqar said, “Manisha is a strong and principled character. She cannot live with a man who has witnessed a crime and ignored it. She is someone who cannot tolerate injustice—she is blunt and takes action. She won’t ignore her husband’s flaws or stay silent about incidents affecting multiple lives. I love that all the women in this drama are strong. Every female character, including Kiran, Manisha, the lawyer, and the mother, is portrayed as powerful and independent.”
